The North Carolina Real Estate Market: Just Like the Weather! Happy Fall!
There's an old saying here in North Carolina: "If you don't like the weather, just wait an hour."
Well, the real estate market isn't much different!
After more than 30 years in real estate, I've been through multiple buyer's markets, seller's markets, and just about everything in between. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's this: Markets change. They fluctuate. And they always will.
Today's market may feel a little unusual. Sales are slower, buyers are more cautious, and homes are taking longer to sell. But guess what? People are still buying homes, and people are still selling homes.
Here's something worth remembering: Lenders are finding creative ways to help qualified buyers purchase resale homes, and builders are offering some pretty attractive incentives, including interest rate buydowns, closing cost assistance, and other benefits.
My advice? Be patient. Be informed. And don't let today's headlines make tomorrow's decisions for you.
Every situation is different, and sometimes the best move is to make a move. Other times, it's to wait.
If you're wondering what makes sense for your particular situation, give me a call. I'm always happy to have a conversation, share my perspective, and help you navigate your options. I could even include my lender to help answer your questions as well.
After all, here in North Carolina, the weather always changes. And so does the real estate market.
