Relax, You're in Raleigh

Remove your tie, and unbutton your shirt, "Relax, You’re in Raleigh". 😁 

In January of 2011, I put an offer on a house in Holly Springs North Carolina, a suburb outside of Raleigh. 

Sight unseen at first, I fell in love with an awesome house, and we decided to make the move. 🏘

We loved the property, the setting, and the neighbors. ❤️

Our new life had begun after my life as a Washingtonian.

We had spent the previous 7 long years in and out of the hospital with our youngest daughter and a change was imminent. 

One of the first things I noticed after we moved was that things moved a lot slower in the business world and life here in NC. 

One of the bigger things I noticed was the casual attire in the work environment. 👔❌👕✔️

Especially in my real estate world, where I was used to wearing wing tips, a suit, and a tie daily. 

Now in my 12th year in the Raleigh Area, and one move since being in North Carolina, I rarely wear a suit or tie. 

I have learned a lot in life since moving to North Carolina, especially about relocation. 🚚 🏡 🆕

If I am honest. The Washington DC area will always fill a place in my heart as my hometown, but Raleigh is now my home. 👍🏼

Our kids are both north and south of us now, but I am still here but the exploration process has now amped up a few decibels. 🤪

Over the next year I will be exploring Raleigh in it’s entirety from a locals perspective. 🧭 🚣🏽‍⛱🏔
